The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever. Isaiah 40:8

behind the posts
My name is Tammy Ragsdell, and I am a follower of Jesus Christ, a wife, mother and a Mimi. My husband Joe and I have been married for 33 years. We live in Pocahontas, Arkansas and have three boys, Alex, Adam and Aaron as well as 2 daughters-in-law, a soon to be daughter-in-law, and 4 wonderful grandchildren in our family.
We own a small trucking business, and I also have a handmade business that I run through Etsy. We enjoy having the ability to work from home in that it gives us flexibility and freedom. All three boys work with us in various positions within the trucking company.
We attend Sutton Freewill Baptist Church where Joe serves as a deacon, and I serve on various committees working toward women's ministry.
We are in that empty nest stage of our life and are enjoying a newfound sense of adventure and discovery in this season. We have figured out that we really do "like" each other. On a serious note, I really can't even begin to describe the love I have for this man. God made him especially for me, and I know that!
I began journaling years ago but not very consistently. As the years passed, I found myself eager to learn more but wasn't sure how to achieve that. Fortunately, I was able to participate in a discipleship group led by our pastor's wife that forever changed my life. In that group I was able to learn how to study the Bible effectively, memorize scripture and mature as a believer. It also gave me the confidence to start penning my thoughts. I realized that I really do enjoy putting my ideas and thoughts down on paper, going back and reading later and realizing that God had a hand in it. My hope with this blog is that people see Christ in me, realize that we are all walking a narrow path toward him and that we have a responsibility to encourage other believers in their pursuit of the Lord.
I will talk about various topics along the way as I believe that God is not confined to just "church" time. He is in every area of our life, every emotion, every relationship and in our day to day. I hope you will follow along as I try to be as vulnerable, open and honest about my life as a 53-year-old woman who has learned a few things along the way.
With Love,
Tammy
