Thank You Jesus

It is early morning, Thursday November 28, 2024, Thanksgiving Day. As I sit here at the kitchen island sipping my coffee, my mind and heart bring me to a place of thanks. I am reminded of the complete and total goodness of God. A God who is forever faithful to me in every area of my life.

Today I just want to simply say thank you. Thank you that I get to cook a meal for my family. Thank you that I get to be with the people I love. Thank you that I am physically able to prepare a meal. Thank you that I have a warm home. Thank you that I live in a free country. Thank you that I can worship at a church surrounded by people, that despite my flaws, show me love and compassion. Thank you that God sent his son to die on the cross for my sins so that I could live with anticipation of a home in heaven.

I am beyond blessed and I am beyond thankful!

(My son Aaron makes fun of me because he says that only middle-aged women say, “thankful & blessed” and have it written on signs all throughout their houses) That’s ok because I am thankful for Aaron too and his sense of humor and quick wit!!

Enjoy today and remember to be present in the moments and make memories that will last you a lifetime!
